Questions on Issues

No one knows all the issues or has all the answers. Any figure head or public officials time and work is driven by the needs of those they represent, with those they represent.

Long ago a mititary leader of mine said “Sgt R, do not come to me with a problem without some solutions!”. Likewise, if you would support me as Supervisor, I would say the same thing to you.

Understandably, I am getting a lot of question of where I stand on subjects. Some of which I am knowledgeable and some not so much. But ultimately my personal opinion or knowledge is less important to the opinion and knowledge of the community.

1. An elected official should voice and address the concerns of all citizens; regardless of the elected officials cognitive biases. I’m not seeking this office to see things my way, but your way.

2. When discussing any issue, with the help of citizens like yourself, I would need the tools and research, that “if I were a supervisor” I can figure out how I could address an issue for you.

Some issues like “building codes” come from the state level, which “as supervisor” I could not overturn or adjust (Royce). But I feel a lot can be accomplished by supporting discussions, contecting citizens and promoting education; loud enough, long enough, to produce the action needed to address any issue. I can say I am good at this and promise to be the most active and involved elected official this county has ever seen. Why, because I already doing this by nature; and with the title of supervisor it will just open more doors for me to walk through to get things addressed for our community!
