Greetings,
I am a Tuolumne Township local. I was born in Sonora and Raised in Tuolumne. I attended Summerville Elementary, Soulsbyville Elementary, Summerville High School, and Columbia Jr College. I served in the Army Reserve and DOD Civil Service from 2000 to 2013, until I was medically Retired due to injuries from Iraq. I have been Married since 2003 to my lovely wife Monica, and we have one son.
When I am not on stay home Dad duty, much of my time is spent in volunteer community service. I do own a small business called “Rasmussen-Bates Saws” and I am a General Woodsmen as a hobby. Timber industry work goes back at least four generations on both sides of my family.

- Tuolumne County Historic Preservation Review Commission: Appointed 2021.
- Tuolumne County Veterans Committee since 2014.
- Tuolumne Lumber Jubilee Chairman since 2018.
- Veterans of Foreign Wars: Keith Dale Wann Post 4748 Chairman and a State Chairman since 2005.
- Sonora Vets Helping Vets Board Member since 2018.
- American Legion Sonora, Smyth-Bolter Post 58 Member.
- Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America Life Member.
- Military Order of the Cootie: Assisting Hospitalized Veterans.
- Knights of the Maccabees: Honoring those that pass away and assisting Widows, Orphans and the Needy.
- Founder of 22Wall.org: Honoring those who have pasted, promoting awareness and helping 22 survivors.
